Auburn artist Frank Ordaz painted many of the backdrops for the now legendary movie “Return of the Jedi,” and brings a little of that movie magic to his more recent paintings of familiar local landmarks like No Hands Bridge and downtown Auburn. Ahead of the release of “Rogue One,” Frank sat down with us talk about what it was like to work on Jedi and other great 80s films like “E.T.” and “Indiana Jones” and how the people and places of Placer County inspire his work today. Hear his story in the latest episode of our podcast series, “The Placer Life.”
